The abstracts at the Turkish National Congress of Ear Nose Throat Head and Neck Surgery will be delivered in either oral or poster format (including printed and e-poster). Abstract submitted from abroad may be presented in either Turkish or English.

When submitting abstracts, authors must indicate their preference (oral, printed poster, or e-poster) and the specific subfield of ENT and Head and Neck Surgery that the study pertains to. The Abstract Review Committee reserves the right to accept or reject abstracts based on the study’s content and the number of submissions. If accepted, the committee may also alter the abstract format and the specialization subfield. Case will NOT be accepted for oral abstracts.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The study must not have been previously presented at any national meeting or published in a national/international journal.
The abstract should not exceed 400 words.
The abstract title should be no longer than 12 words and accurately reflect the study's content.
Authors’ names, titles, affiliated institutions, and cities must be clearly stated. The abstract should not include any introductory sentences about the institution or researchers. Preferably, translated expressions should be in Turkish.
If the abstract author has left the institution where the study was conducted, they must list the original institution as the institution name and their new institution as the correspondence address.
Contact information provided during online registration, especially the email address, must be current and regularly checked, as this will be the main channel for communication, including the dispatch of acceptance letters.
The presenter among the authors should be specified. Generally, it is expected that senior residents or newly qualified specialists (with less than 5 years of experience) who are listed as the first author will present the abstracts. It is important for a senior specialist and/or faculty member involved in the study to be present at oral presentations or poster discussions.
Abstract presented at the congress will be evaluated for designated awards. Abstracts intended for awards must be explicitly stated. The FULL TEXT of nominated abstracts must be uploaded before the final submission deadline.
Any financial disclosures of the researchers must be stated. The abstract should include the following structured sections, each filled in the designated area on the online registration page:
Objective
Material and Methods
Findings (numerical and/or statistical data)
Conclusion(s)
For poster abstracts, the author must be available for on the designated day and time. All prospective clinical studies must have ethics committee approval, retrospective studies must have either ethics committee or TUEK approval, and experimental studies must have animal experiments ethics committee approval. Approval letters must be uploaded to the system. Patient photos must be anonymized.

ABSTRACT ELIGIBLE FOR AWARDS

Only abstracts submitted for an award will be considered. Authors must indicate their preference for award consideration when submitting their abstracts.
All award submissions must be of research quality and must have received ethics committee approval. Details of the ethics committee approval (name, date, and number) must be provided during submission.
Full texts must be uploaded as a Word document simultaneously with the submission and prepared in Arial font, size 11, double-spaced, including graphics, figures, tables, and images. The full text should not exceed 15 pages and should not include any institutional or researcher introductory statements except in the title section. Required sections in the full text are:

Materials and Methods
Results
Discussion (if necessary, include Conclusion and/or Acknowledgments)
References should be cited according to their appearance in the text, with the citation style as follows: List all authors if six or fewer; if more than six, list the first three followed by "et al." Journal names should be abbreviated as in PubMed NLM Format. Examples:

The full texts of all abstracts accepted for award candidacy will be evaluated by the Abstract Committee based on predetermined criteria before the congress. The institution and name information of the researchers will not be visible during this evaluation.

ABSTRACT BOOKLET

All abstracts of the studies accepted for presentation (as oral or poster presentations) in the scientific program will be compiled into a conference proceedings booklet and uploaded as a PDF on the website. Accepted abstracts cannot be withdrawn after the acceptance letter has been sent. Accepted but not presented abstracts will be removed from the ABSTRACT BOOKLET prepared later.

ACCEPTANCE LETTER

All submitted abstract will be evaluated to determine their acceptance for presentation. Accepted abstract will receive an "acceptance letter" in September, indicating the accepted presentation format. Authors of abstracts not accepted will also be notified in September. Early submission of abstract abstracts is advised for those who wish to receive the acceptance letter earlier.
